As a leading company in our sector, Star Robotics could not miss ROSCon Madrid 2023, where we will be present as sponsors and speakers, showcasing our robots and how we apply some of the most outstanding technologies in a practical and safe way.
This event brings together beginners and experts from the world of ROS (Robot Operating System) in Spain and will take place on September 29 at the campus of Universidad Rey Juan Carlos, in Fuenlabrada (Madrid).
We will have our own stand, where we will exhibit some of our robots, have conversations with attendees, and explain our latest developments.
Additionally, we will share our knowledge in the lecture by Jonatan Ginés, one of the main people responsible for the solid development of our robots.
Jonatan, a robotic software engineer at Star Robotics and PhD in Robotics, will provide his perspective and share his knowledge in the field of social robotics and robot navigation.
The talk titled "Social Robot Navigation in Nav 2 – Humanizing your robot using costmap layers" will have an estimated duration of 15 minutes and will address robot navigation in human environments and how the use of a map composition systems can elevate interaction with humans to a very advanced level in terms of utility, autonomy, and space control.
The talk will also contain practical examples with real situations, allowing attendees to know and appreciate the most common applications and use cases.
